Launched in June 2004 as a response in faith to the reoccurring deaths of abandoned, neglected, and orphaned babies, House of Hope has since expanded to become a beacon of hope to children in crisis in the Goldfield's community and beyond.
House of Hope, formally known as House of Hope Community Life Development, now consists of five well-established projects which all focus on investing in the lives and dreams of children.
House of Hope is a community program in the truest sense, sustained in part by the community it passionately strives to serve.
We invite you to become part of the "Hope Journey" and make a worth-while investment in the future.
"For if my mother and father should abandon me, You would welcome and comfort me"
We educate and support communities with a special focus on young women and girls on critical issues such as HIV prevention, Sexual Reproductive Health, and STI's.
We offer support & counselling to woman and young girls who experience an unplanned pregnancy.
We offer immediate and long-term support and assistance to the survivors of rape, sexual violence, and abuse.
We assist and empower families in difficult situations related to substance abuse and unacceptable behavior with weekly support groups.
We provide temporary care for babies 0-18months until they are reunited with family under the supervision of a social worker, adopted, or placed in alternative care. Since 2004 we've had the privilege of providing safety for over 400 babies who were admitted to our 24/7 safe house due to abandonment, neglect, or being orphaned.
We provide permanent foster care for 17 children until they turn 18 years of age or finish with school.
As a registered child protection organisation, we provide temporary care for children in crisis aged 19months - 18years. Service offered 24/7.
We provide training opportunities aimed at empowering and equipping people who work with children like parents, teachers, and social workers.
By 2021 we see House of Hope as a self-sustaining Goldfield's
organisation, permanently changing the lives of vulnerable children.
To pursue sustainability through creative and innovative avenues.
To eagerly grasp every opportunity to build relationships and serve the Goldfield's community.
To passionately develop and inspire staff, parents, and the children in our care.
